Opinion: Blatant bias against Trump may hasten the end of mainstream media
By Darrell Dellamaide
Nov 3, 2016 3:11 p.m. ET

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — Whatever else this year’s bizarre and destructive presidential campaign achieves, it may well sound the death knell for legacy news media.

Newspapers have long since been doomed by the digital revolution and the collapse of their economic model. New waves of buyouts and layoffs recently announced by the New York Times, USA Today and the Wall Street Journal mark another step by print media toward extinction.

Broadcast networks, too, face severe difficulties as new technologies and changes in viewing habits transform the television industry and bring new challenges to news operations.

But it is the bias of the establishment media so blatantly in favor of the establishment candidate, Hillary Clinton, that may strip these news organizations of their last claim to value — as an objective and authoritative source of information — and hasten their demise.

When Liz Spayd started her new assignment as the public editor of the New York Times last summer. [sic] she was taken aback by the deluge of email criticizing the newspaper for “one-sided reporting” and “relentless bias against Trump.”

Her inquiries in the newsroom were met “with a roll of the eyes,” Spayd said, and the claim that all sides hate the Times because they are even-handed in their reporting.

“That response may be tempting, but unless the strategy is to become The New Republic gone daily, this perception by many readers strikes me as poison,” Spayd said candidly. “A paper whose journalism appeals to only half the country has a dangerously severed public mission.”

She went on to muse that a fracturing media environment, with people seeking out the news they want to hear, might be pulling the Times to the left, which is where two-thirds of its readers are. This would be bad, she said, because of the stories that would be missed — such as the “surprising” triumph of Donald Trump in capturing the Republican nomination.

“Imagine a country where the greatest, most powerful newsroom in the free world was viewed not as a voice that speaks to all but as one that has taken sides,” she said, before grimly asking, “Or has that already happened?”

Yes, indeed, it has. Behind all the Times’ fawning profiles of Clinton — and the denigrating pieces not only on Trump but also Democratic challenger Bernie Sanders — was a cozy understanding between Times reporters and the Clinton campaign, WikiLeaks has shown us, that getting Clinton elected is something of a collaborative effort….

wow, just wow……and as a white male…I’M the problem…..

This is an excerpt from a report I wrote for Peter Brimelow, at VDARE, on February 3, 2014.

Here’s what the New York Times’ chief thread censor, Nigerian-American Community Manager Bassey Etim,  [pictured right]   [Email | Twitter] who supervises 13 (!) enforcers to fabricate the fake consensus you see on NYT comments threads, thinks of normal, patriotic, white Americans—the kind who fight and die in our wars, pay the taxes, do the productive, legal work (and research for me!):

Most of the newspaper comment sections I see are filled with racism, homophobia and barely literate anti-feminist rants…. The Internet is a big place, and there are a lot of spaces where you can say whatever you please, but is not the rest of the Internet. It’s a news Web site where the news is discussed in ways that don’t make you feel like you need to shower afterward.

[Comments on Comments by Samantha Henig, New York Times, September 20, 2013.]

Paradoxically, Etim then agreed with a reader—“the comments are where the real America is”—and added:

I spend a lot of my evenings in the world of comments too, and not just the night terrors. But I agree with that quote. The people who have access to media platforms are overwhelmingly likely to come from a [sic] certain cultural cliques, populate similar tax brackets and have had a deep involvement with the media for most of their lives. But in comments sections, I see a range of concerns and fears and a thirst for knowledge that most Americans don’t see being reflected in their local media.

I contacted Etim five times for this article, but he never responded.

White Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh: Instead of Responding to Out-of-Control Black Crime by, You Know, Fighting Crime, We Need Yet More Programs that are Nothing but Pretexts to Rob White Taxpayers of Still More Billions of Dollars, While Handcuffing the Police, and Encouraging Blacks to Commit Still More Crime

By Nicholas Stix

Bob Rector of Heritage estimated a few years ago that whites (he didn't say that, he said "the government") had spent $20 trillion on the War on Whites, er, Poverty.

Although some of those trillions went to Hispanics, and about $3.50 went to whites, Rector is notoriously conservative, and always lowballs such numbers.

He also doesn't go into whites' losses from:

• Black invaders causing their home values to plummet to anywhere from zero to way below what they paid for them;

• Being robbed and thieved by blacks;

• Having to spend private school tuition, in order to try and save their children from blacks;

• The hundreds of billions of dollars whites continue to pay for old money pit programs (pre-school, etc.) for blacks, and the constant new ones (see above);

• Having to pay for multiple black kids, for every one of their own, since blacks refuse to pay for their own; and

• Missing work, due to being beaten, raped, maimed and murdered by blacks.

Dinesh D’Souza is a Born Liar, and a Convicted One

By Nicholas Stix

“One’s a born liar, and the other’s convicted.”

Yankees manager Billy Martin on Reggie Jackson and George Steinbrenner.

Steinbrenner had been convicted of making illegal campaign donations to Richard Nixon’s 1972 re-election campaign, and spent some time at Club Fed. Steinbrenner later made ample legal donations to the GOP, such that he was able to buy an indulgence from President George H.W. “Poppy” Bush, who in turn granted Steinbrenner a presidential pardon.

Actually, though Martin said the words, they’d been formulated by one of his coaches. Even baseball dugouts have their ghostwriters.

D’Souza was also convicted of making an illegal campaign contribution to failed Republican U.S. Senate candidate, Wendy Long.

Blast from the past
By An Old Friend
Sun, Nov 19, 2017 8:34 p.m.

While looking up something by Christopher DeMuth in the Wall Street Journal, I stumbled upon the following, from November 13, 1995 (copied and pasted because accessed via …, which just gives reformatted text):

In his Nov. 3 Letter to the Editor responding to your Oct. 19 page-one article, American Enterprise Institute President Christopher DeMuth chose to personally denounce me for my resignation from the American Enterprise Institute because of AEI's support of Dinesh D'Souza's book "The End of Racism." The only part of my action that Mr. DeMuth seems to have understood and gotten correct is his claim that "It was a carefully staged political event aimed at anathematizing a book. . . ." That is certainly true.

What Chris DeMuth still does not understand is what the fuss is all about. He accuses me of taking "a few sentences from the 550-page book, wrenched out of context. . . ." In my letter to him following my resignation I sent four pages of quotes asking for instruction from him as to how the meaning of these phrases would contribute to public discourse on race. How did I misunderstand a characterization of low-income black communities as being "irrigated with blood, urine and alcohol"? What context would justify "If America as a nation owes blacks as a group reparations for slavery, what do blacks as a group owe America for the abolition of slavery?" I have yet to receive a reply.

Mr. DeMuth also stated that I have had no affiliation with AEI since I left and have not been active in a decade. This is ironic since Chris, in a personal letter to me dated Nov. 10, 1993, invited me (and I accepted) to continue my position as an AEI adjunct fellow. Also at his request, I have attended a number of meetings at the institute as part of AEI's "To Empower People" project. The book by the same name will be reissued soon.

But these are nit-picking details in response to an ad hominem attack. What is more important here is the larger issue: This is a racist book, whose mean-spiritedness obfuscates the need for thoughtful and constructive debate on such issues as affirmative action and other racial policies. It is not worthy of an institution like AEI.

Robert L. Woodson Sr.

Neighborhood Enterprise

It is by no means clear to me what Christopher DeMuth knows about my recent departure from the Washington Times or how he knows it. In his Letter he appears to congratulate AEI and its "scholar" Dinesh D'Souza for causing my "firing" over my "remarks at a white supremacist gathering chillingly documented" in Mr. D'Souza's book.

The American Renaissance conference on "Race and American Culture," held in Atlanta in May 1994, was in no sense a "white supremacist" gathering. No speaker at the conference advocated "white supremacy," nor do I advocate it. While I believe that significant natural differences between the races exist, I have repeatedly written that these differences do not justify the entrenched political domination of one race over others.

As for my departure from the Times, that was due less to the prowess of fraudulent scholars like Mr. D'Souza than to the discomfort of the Times's editors with the expression of ideas (by no means confined to racial matters) that transgress the established boundaries of public discussion -- boundaries that the Times, for all its chest-thumping about challenging conventional wisdom, is insistent on preserving.

The editors' dissatisfaction with my habit of transgressing those boundaries first became apparent in June of this year, well before the D'Souza book was published or available, and resulted in my dismissal as a staff columnist at that time. The publication of the book and of a factually flawed excerpt from it by the Times's competitor, the Washington Post, in September was used by the editors to complete the process of separation they had already initiated.

Samuel Francis
Seabrook, Md.
There is much irony in Mr. DeMuth's letter, in which he writes that Glenn Loury and Robert Woodson "anathematized" Mr. D'Souza and demanded that conservatives repudiate him "on their say-so." I sympathize, because that is exactly what Mr. D'Souza has tried to do to me.

It was I who organized the "white supremacist gathering" that Mr. DeMuth says was "chillingly documented" in Mr. D'Souza's book. We must have been up to a very rum sort of white supremacy; of the 10 speakers, two were nationally syndicated columnists, five were Ph.D.s, one was a Jesuit priest, and four, including an orthodox rabbi, were Jews. Why would Mr. D'Souza describe the conference as if it were a Klan rally? Because he knew that his book would draw just the sort of accusations that it did, and because he thought he could deflect criticism by pointing to others and saying, "They're the racists; I'm just a bold thinker."

The trouble was that the conference, which was organized around American Renaissance, of which I am editor, expressed views far too close to Mr. D'Souza's for him plausibly to claim that we were beyond the pale. His published account of the conference is laughably misleading, but it is nothing compared with what he originally wrote. Fortunately, the participants saw the bound galleys. Mr. D'Souza had invented passages from speeches (which had been recorded) and deliberately falsified "quotations" from American Renaissance. All this to "anathematize" us and draw distinctions between what he fatuously calls his "principled positions" and those of people he calls "bigots."

We wrote his publisher. Books were already in print, but Mr. D'Souza's falsehoods were so egregious that the Free Press took the extraordinary step of junking the entire first print run while Mr. D'Souza hurriedly made corrections. I would not expect Mr. DeMuth to know this. It is not the sort of thing Mr. D'Souza would tell his boss. But I do find it contemptible, even "chilling," that Mr. DeMuth should rejoice in the punishment of Samuel Francis on account of his ideas -- "documented" by Mr. D'Souza -- while piously denouncing those who would punish Mr. D'Souza for the same reason.

Jared Taylor
American Renaissance
Louisville, Ky.
Throughout his 600-page work, Mr. D'Souza insists there is a cultural explanation for the deficiencies in average black intelligence and behavior that he relentlessly catalogues, and he labels as "racist" anyone who believes that these black disadvantages may be at least partly hereditary. But when he finally discusses the hereditarian position at length, Mr. D'Souza, after much hemming and hawing, reluctantly admits that he has no arguments against it: "The Bell Curve makes a strong case that cannot be ignored. . . . The conclusion of most scholars is that despite many caveats, there is no scientific basis for rejecting the possibility that race differences in I.Q. are partly hereditary" (pp. 475-76). Having quietly conceded what he loudly denounces as "racist" everywhere else in his book, Mr. D'Souza looks for an escape hatch: "It is possible to reject the fatalism of genetic theories of I.Q. differences, as I do. My view is that . . . it is a `reasonable hypothesis' that [racial] I.Q. differences can be explained by culture and environment." But he offers not a shred of support for that "reasonable hypothesis," other than his wish that it be true -- and his hope that some future evidence may confirm it.
Thus Mr. D'Souza's trumpeted "end of racism" -- by which he means the end of the belief in intrinsic racial differences in civilizational abilities -- turns out to be a fraud. And the worst part of the fraud is that Mr. D'Souza, backed by his boss Christopher DeMuth, labels as "bigots" and "white supremacists" people who honestly believe what Mr. D'Souza himself evidently believes but doesn't want to admit.

The TCM Film Noir for Sunday, November 19, at 10 a.m. ET is Night and the City (1950), Starring Richard Widmark and Gene Tierney

The TCM Film Noir for Sunday, November 19, at 10 a.m. ET is Night and the City (1950).

Night and the City (1950): Stanislaus Zbyszko, Richard Widmark, and Mike Mazurki

Richard Widmark brings his characterization (with the giggle) from Kiss of Death (1947).

Tierney and Widmark

Gene Tierney, billed as "the most beautiful woman in the history of the movies," co-stars as the Widmark character's night club singer girlfriend. It's another case of the girl can't help being in love with the wrong guy.

Set in London, Widmark plays a hustler involved in, of all things, London's wrestling game. The usual noir themes of betrayal, greed, etc., make up the plot.

Richard Widmark's character, Harry Fabian, on the run

The German title translates as The Rat of Soho

N.S.: I saw the original as a teenager, but roughly 20 years later I saw the eponymous 1992 remake, starring Robert De Niro and Jessica Lange. The remake pushed out virtually all of my memories of the original, except for a vague recollection of the desperate loser Widmark played—I’d completely forgotten that Gene Tierney played his girlfriend. How could I have forgotten the world's most famous overbite?!

In the remake, wrestling was replaced with boxing, and the whole thing took place, if memory serves, in Greenwich Village. I believe the Jessica Lange character was married.

“Professional Jew” comic Alan King (a staple on The Ed Sullivan Show, during my childhood), who was also an excellent actor, played a menacing, mobbed-up fight promoter, and the great Jack Warden, who was once a pug in real life, played the King character’s ancient brother, who had once been a champion prizefighter.

If memory serves, the Lange character was married to tough-guy barkeep Cliff Gorman.

Robert De Niro pissed away his career playing one loser after another, particularly in movies directed by his idiot friend, Martin Scorsese. This one—directed by one of Scorcese’s erstwhile producers, Irwin Winkler—is pretty good. It has excellent ambience.

I remember one line from it—the desperate De Niro character, Harry Fabian, is on the phone. A guy he’s hitting up for money tells him, “No can do.” Fabian responds, “No can do? What's that, a Chinese appetizer?”

[Full disclosure: I had to look up the final line.]

De Niro played too many pathetic losers and otherwise unsympathetic characters, and not enough heroes. (Maybe that's why he made so many bombs. New York, New York. The King of Comedy. Night and the City. This Boy's Life. Falling in Love. Night and the City.) Loser roles are for character actors. Richard Widmark was a great actor, may he rest in peace, but you didn’t see him stick with Tommy Udos and Harry Fabians, did you?

It was almost impossible to find good images from the remake. The jackwagons at alamy slapped their stupid name all over most of the clear images, as if they owned the copyright. Since they don’t, they are probably guilty of copyright infringement.

I was also unable to find a single good poster from the remake.

Summing Up Lee Marvin, the World’s Greatest Heavy, in 17 Words

TCM came up with this poster many years after the original release

By Nicholas Stix

“When Lee Marvin asks if you want two lumps with your coffee, he's not talking about sugar.”

I found this quote on Google Images, ascribed to a blog called Ruthless Reviews, about Marvin’s character in The Big Heat. Yet when I went there, the quote was nowhere to be found. And when I Googled under the quote, Google told me—wrongly, since I’d found it via Google!—there was no such quote.

No Justice in Connecticut: White, “kind-hearted giant” Murdered 7; Now Terrorized Taxpayers Get Double Insult of Having to Support Him for the Rest of His Squalid Life

Two mug shots, over the years, of serial killer William Devin Howell

Killer of 7 in Connecticut sentenced to life in prison

November 17, 2017 at 4:47 pm CST

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — An East Coast drifter who killed seven people in Connecticut in 2003 and drove a van he called the "murder mobile" was sentenced Friday to life in prison.

A state judge handed down six consecutive life sentences to William Devin Howell during an emotional hearing where victims' relatives spoke about how the killings devastated their lives. Howell pleaded guilty to murder charges in September.

"He stripped away the youth from us and made me and my brother orphans," said Tiffany Menard, daughter of victim Mary Jane Menard.
She called Howell a "monster" and said she tried to kill herself two times after her mother disappeared.

Howell is believed to be the most prolific serial killer in Connecticut history — not counting mass shootings. The seven killings topped the Connecticut body count of serial killer Michael Ross, who killed six women in eastern Connecticut and two in New York, and was executed in 2005.

The 47-year-old Howell, from Hampton, Virginia, cried and apologized to the victims' families during the hearing, saying he deserved the death penalty and his acts were "monstrous, cowardly and selfish." The state Supreme Court abolished Connecticut's death penalty in 2015 [for future crimes, but not for earlier ones].

"I know what awaits me ... a slow painful death in prison," said Howell, who talked about his diabetes and possible limb amputation and organ failure in the future. "I hope that provides some comfort to each of the families."

The bodies of all seven of Howell's victims were found buried in a wooded area behind a strip mall in New Britain, about 15 miles southwest of Hartford.

Three bodies were found in 2007, and the other remains were discovered in 2015, when authorities went back to the site.

All seven victims disappeared in 2003, when Howell was mowing lawns and working other odd jobs. They were identified as Mary Jane Menard, 40, of New Britain; Joyvaline Martinez, 24, of East Hartford; Diane Cusack, 53, of New Britain; Melanie Ruth Camilini, 29, of Seymour; Marilyn Gonzalez, 26, of Waterbury; Danny Lee Whistnant, 44, of New Britain; and Nilsa Arizmendi, 33, of Wethersfield.

Howell was arrested in May 2005 in Hampton, Virginia, in connection with Arizmendi's death and later pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

He sexually assaulted three of the women and kept one of the bodies in his van for two weeks, sleeping next to the body and calling the victim his "baby," according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Howell told a cellmate there was a monster inside him and described himself as a "sick ripper," according to the warrant.

He also told the fellow inmate he kept one of women's bodies wrapped up in his van because it was too cold outside to bury her, the warrant said. He said he cut off the tips of her fingers, dismantled her bottom jaw and disposed of the body parts in Virginia, the document said.

Authorities said they found blood in the van that matched the blood of one of the victims, along with videotapes of Howell having sex with women.

Police said a main connection among most of the victims was their use of drugs.

Howell called the burial site his "garden" and said the victims should have known they were going to die because of the lifestyles they led, the warrant said.

Steyn, in 1999: When Vice President Gore suggested amalgamating these warring, inefficient, acronymic agencies into one slimmed-down ultra-efficient DEATFBI, the president ruled against it on the grounds that it would send ( all together now ) the "wrong signal": having lots of agencies, no matter how useless, sends the right signal. So, across the country, undercover DEA agents are staking out undercover FBI agents who are selling drugs to undercover DEA agents who are staking out undercover ATF agents.

Steyn, 2017: I thought of that line when I read this story:
The encounter started when two special operations officers from the department's 12th Precinct were working on a drug bust on Andover, a notoriously drug-heavy area of the city.

The officers were pretending to be dealing narcotics in hopes that eager customers would approach before being arrested and having their vehicles seized.

But problems started when another group of undercover special operations officers from the 11th Precinct approached, posing as buyers.
Steyn again, in 2017: So a group of undercover officers pretending to be drug dealers confronts another group of undercover officers pretending to be drug buyers, at which point they all start brawling with each other: "No, I'm staking you out!" "Screw you. I was staking you out first," etc.

MSNBC Broadcasts Fake Poll Showing Doug Jones Suddenly Running Away from Roy Moore in Alabama

By Nicholas Stix

Wednesday evening, MSNBC was promoting a poll which, it claims, shows Democrat Senatorial candidate Doug Jones way ahead of Judge Roy Moore, 51-39, after Moore has been ahead of Jones by 8-10 points, even after the “evidence,” as MSNBC and its leftwing allies call the charges of women that Moore groped, or dated, or violated them 100 years or so ago, as well as the "corroborating evidence" of women who claim that the "victims" told them about the incidents.

None of what MSNBC called evidence actually was evidence. Hearsay, evidence-free charges, rumors, rumors about rumors, and a possibly forged high school yearbook do not constitute evidence.

The poll was conducted by … nobody knows. When I was watching, MSNBC’s fake news reader, Ari Melber, said he didn’t know who conducted the poll.

As phony as some big-name polls are, when a fake news center tells you they have a poll with numbers that completely contradict what we’ve heretofore known, but they don’t know where the poll came from, they’re from the Mary Mapes School of Journalism.

I looked up “Roy Moore” and 51-39, and learned that the poll was conducted by the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

Ari Melber didn’t want to say that, because the NRSC is an even more than usually self-interested organization that has cut off all relations to Moore, and seeks to sink his senate candidacy. I guess he feared that had he said ‘The poll was conducted by the National Republican Senatorial Committee,’ he would have looked ridiculous.

(At the time, I checked MSNBC's Web site, and could not find any stories promoting the "poll.")

But not to MSNBC’s audience. As long as a poll makes a white devil look bad, they don’t care about credibility.

Yet Another Hate Hoax—There Must be Hundreds Per Day Now—at a Chesterfield, Missouri High School; Fox/KTVI Fake News Reporters Kevin S. Held and Kelley Hoskins, and Fake News director Audrey Prywitch Win Duranty-Blair Award, Journalism’s Biggest Booby Prize

A ‘tip ‘o the hate to Countenance Blog: “It’s Not Okay to be White in Chesterfield.”

Considering that not only reporters but civilian newsaholics have for years been confronted with constant hate/rape hoaxes, in which the “victims” (read perps) were members of a protected group, anytime a new charge crops up, one should presume it’s a hoax, until proven otherwise. To do otherwise is to be utterly dishonest, or to act as if one were severely retarded.

Every time an alleged reporter acts as if an alleged “hate crime” were horrific, and not to be challenged, that media operative has earned himself a Duranty-Blair.

The Duranty-Blair Award recognizes those journalists whose work embodies the spirit of Walter Duranty and Jayson Blair, two of the most notorious “journalists” in the history of the Fourth Estate. It is no accident that both men worked for the New York Times.

Walter Duranty wrote a series of early 1930s dispatches from the Soviet Union, where he was Times Moscow bureau chief, in which he lied about the Ukrainian Holocaust, in which Stalin deliberately starved millions of Kulaks (farmers) to death, through a man-made famine. Instead of reporting the truth, Duranty reported that the peasants were happy and well-fed, and was rewarded for his lies with a Pulitzer Prize.

Jayson Blair (here, here, and here) was an early 2000s black affirmative action hire, who alternately plagiarized reporters at other newspapers, and fabricated articles out of whole cloth, all for stories set hundreds and even thousands of miles away, while he sat in New York City cafés.

Racial slur written on bathroom mirror at Parkway Central
Posted 12:44 p.m., November 15, 2017, by Kevin S. Held and Kelley Hoskins, Updated at 10:13 A.M., November 15, 2017

CHESTERFIELD, Mo. – Officials at Parkway Central High School are working to determine who wrote a racial slur and the phrase ‘White Lives Matter’ on a mirror inside a campus bathroom.

It was not immediately known if the illicit graffiti was drawn in a boys or girls restroom.

Principal Timothy McCarthy sent out the following email to parents and students:

PCH Community,

Regretfully, I am sending this email to share with you information regarding an incident that transpired at Central High this morning. Someone wrote on the mirrors in a Central High restroom a phrase that included the N word. An image of the phrase quickly spread on social media; students are understandably upset.

In response, I addressed students and staff via the PA; below is the text of my announcement. Please know that we take this offense seriously and will work diligently to investigate the incident. Also know that we are committed to partnering with you, our parents, to support all and each of our students. Please contact me with questions and concerns.

Tim McCarthy
Principal, PCH

In an announcement to the school, McCarthy said the actions represent a grievous violation of the school's code of conduct and flies in the face of the school's values.

"As your building principal, actions and speech which degrade an individual’s human dignity; actions and speech which are motivated by hate, not love, have no place in school, they have no place at Central High," McCarthy said.

Fox 2 News will have more information on this story as it becomes available.

Navigating the Post-Apocalyptic Countenance Blog

By Nicholas Stix

User instructions here.

Things are Looking Up Around Here, but I Still Need Your Help!

This has been the best month, in terms of writing for commissions, that I’ve had in a couple of years.

At the beginning of the month, I had two major publications on the same day: My big report on Salvadoran gangs in America for The Social Contract, edited by the great Wayne Lutton, and my article on “the Final Solution to the German Question,” for the legendary Peter Brimelow at VDARE.

Then, last night, Peter published the first of two or more planned reports on the prosecutions of the Inauguration Day riots.

Three big reports are enough work to fill a month. And Wayne and Peter do pay me for my work. The problem is that in the world of guerilla journalism, editors can’t pay enough to feed my hungry babies, both of whom are much bigger than me.

At Rolling Stone, Jann Wenner pays much better… except that he paid $42,900 a pop for hoaxes, got himself sued into the poorhouse, and is now trying to unload his baby.

I’m not in the hoax business, but I am in the hoax-hunting business.

Please send a generous donation of whatever you can afford, via the PayPal “donate” button above, in order to keep me in hoaxes.

The Countenance Blogmeister is Back, and He’s on Fire!

By Nicholas Stix

Four months ago, my favorite blogger, who routinely referred to me as “my biggest fan,” and whom I referred to as the nation’s most brilliant political analyst, came thisclose to buying the farm.

He was coming out of a business dinner, and opening his driver’s side car door to get inside, when a white man who was intently concentrating on texting, while ignoring the road, ran him down.

The Blogmeister’s head slammed off the ground, and he was left with severe brain trauma.

For weeks, he was a zombie, and then things got really bad, and he almost died at least one more time. Seizures. His eyes looking as if no one’s home.

I know what I know of this case, because he has a heroically great lawman friend, Puggg, who kept the faithful informed, to the degree that the Blogmeister’s lawyer permitted him. He also has a wonderful uncle and mom and has had competent medical care.

I am not a religious man, but I’m not ashamed to say that I’ve prayed for this man. (I hope God’s not a Democrat!)

He’s not out of the woods yet, but yesterday he blogged again for the first time in four months, he was on a tear (something like 20 blog items, longer than usual), and the blogs all sound just like his pre-texter self.

The difference shows up in his comments. He has a form of amnesia, regarding names. Thus, you may be a longtime reader, but he may not recognize your name.

I had been prepared for this (I believe Puggg had warned us), but I got a bittersweet surprise. He did recall my name, but not as a reader, or as his “biggest fan.” It seems there’s a famous blogger named Nicholas Stix, who has a blog called “NSU.” He wondered if I might be the same person.

The brain is one of life’s great mysteries. It appears that the Blogmeister’s brain has largely been able to heal itself with minimal IQ loss. He’s even devoted at least one blog to science. His amnesia may have to be dealt with “manually,” by people telling him who they are, periodically reminding him, and his working on mnemonic techniques.

Countenance, you brilliant bastard, I read your blog!

Gunman wildly sprays school with bullets, and quick action prevents mass bloodshed
November 15, 2017, 2 a.m.
L.A. Times

Students were playing in the schoolyard at Rancho Tehama Elementary, waiting for the morning bell to ring, when gunshots erupted a quarter mile away.

Teachers and staff immediately rushed the children into classrooms and under desks, locking the doors.

A white Ford F-150 crashed through the front gate as they hunkered down, the driver emerging with a semiautomatic rifle. Wearing a ballistics vest, he stormed into the quad and shot at the walls and windows, but was unable to enter the schoolrooms. After several agonizing minutes, the shots stopped. The gunman got back in the stolen pickup and moved on to other targets in this dusty enclave in the hayfields of Northern California.

At least four people would die at his hands, before the 45-minute killing rampage ended when officers, firing in pursuit on a rural road, rammed his car and shot him to death, authorities said.

They said the lockdown by the school and the bold action by the officers prevented a greater death toll.

“This incident, as tragic and bad as it is, could have been so much worse if it wasn’t for the quick-thinking staff at our elementary school,” said Tehama County Assistant Sheriff Phil Johnston. “I really want to say that the quick action of those school officials, there is no doubt in my mind based on the video that I saw, saved countless lives and children.”

No children died at the school, although two suffered gunshot wounds and were airlifted to hospitals, witnesses said....

To Defend America—Will Inauguration Day AntiFa Rioters Get “Exemplary Sentencing”?

[E]ither the law is enforced against America’s emerging totalitarian Alt-Left or they will succeed in suppressing debate in the public square as completely as they have already done in colleges. (Or, of course, patriots could fight back—in which case they may find themselves attacked by Democrat-controlled law enforcement, as in Charlottesville. This is anarcho-tyranny). Unfortunately, early signs are not all good.

On Wednesday November 15, the first trial of defendants charged with felony riot and as many as seven other felonies arising out of the Inauguration Day disturbances is scheduled to begin jury selection. Seven defendants will be in the dock:…

Associated Press Executive Editor Sally Buzbee and Managing Editor Brian Carovillano Each Win a Duranty-Blair Award for Journalistic Infamy

By Nicholas Stix

When I bestow a Duranty-Blair Award on a worthy media operative, I also try and give D-Bs to the guilty party’s managing and executive editor. The editors determine what is permissible material form their staffers, and are obligated to correct, retract, and/or disavow false and/or pernicious statements made by said staffers.

When I gave AP’s Julie Pace her Duranty-Blair on October 28, for lying about the Russia Game conspiracy against president-Elect and now President Trump, I neglected to similarly “honor” her propaganda bosses.

Thus, I hereby bestow on Associated Press Executive Editor Sally Buzbee and Managing Editor Brian Carovillano their very own Duranty-Blair Awards for Journalistic Infamy.

Neither propaganda boss has disavowed the acts of his operative, Pace. Should they do so, I will revoke their respective D-Bs.

Julie Pace is the third Associated Press operative to win a Duranty-Blair, following Tom Hays in 2014, and Duncan Mansfield (posthumously) last month.

I have not given out D-Bs to Hays and Mansfield’s bosses, as I am unaware of who held the executive and managing editorships at the times of the winners’ offenses.

Previous Duranty-Blair winners are:

CBS News producer Mary Mapes in 2004;

Seven reporters and editors at the New Orleans Times-Picayune in 2006;

ABC News reporter Brian Ross in 2012;

Peter Berger (not the brilliant sociologist), of The American Interest, in 2013;

Associated Press operative Tom Hays, in 2014;

New York Times operative Farhad Manjoo in September, 2016;

CNN’s Symone Sanders (2), Don Lemon, and Kate Bolduan (2), in November 2016;

New York Times Propaganda Officer Francis X. Clines in March 2017;

CNN Activist Jim Sciutto, in May 2017;

Associated Press “Reporter” Duncan Mansfield (posthumous), in September 2017;

CBS Sports operative Jack Maloney, Chairman Sean McManus, and President David Berson; and

Associated Press operative Julie Pace, in October 2017.

Tampa’s Black, Seminole Heights Serial Killer Strikes for the Fourth Time!

Re-posted by Nicholas Stix

4th victim murdered in Tampa by possible serial killer
By Kayla Dawn Gladney
November 14, 2017 at 8:47 a.m.

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Tampa police say a witness was able to provide a description of a suspect who is believed to have shot a man from behind, killing him, as he crossed a Seminole Heights street early Tuesday morning.

The crime scene is a few blocks away from a memorial that honors three people who were previously shot and killed in Seminole Heights. The murderer has not been caught.

At 4:51 a.m. on Tuesday, Tampa police officers responded to North Nebraska Ave and East McBerry Street after receiving a report of shots heard in the area.

Officers arrived on-scene within seconds and found an adult male, later identified as Ronald Felton, 60, deceased in the street. Witnesses tell police that Mr. Felton was crossing the street to meet someone when the suspect came up behind him and shot him.

Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan said police are treating the case as if it is linked to three previous murders in Seminole Heights.

“We think by their proximity and the manner it was done, they are linked,” said Dugan during a news conference on Tuesday morning. “We’re saying it’s related to the other Seminole Heights murders.”

The suspect is described as a black male, 6′ to 6′ 2″ tall and has a thin build and a light complexion. He was armed with a large black pistol and was last seen wearing all black clothing.

Police believe the murderer is still in the area. Police want residents to stay inside their homes.

Police have set up a perimeter in an effort to catch the killer. The perimeter has been set from Osborne Avenue to Hillsborough Avenue and Nebraska Street to North 15th Street.

Officers are continuing to gather information and are searching the neighborhood as the investigation continues. “I believe this person lives in this neighborhood,” said Dugan.

Anyone within the perimeter should remain indoors until advised, to allow the investigation to proceed.

The following Seminole Heights schools have been placed on “lock-in” status as a precaution:

• Edison Elementary School
• Seminole Heights Elementary School
• Lomax Elementary School
• Lockhart Elementary School
• Young Middle School
• Ferrell Middle School
• Memorial Middle School
• Hillsborough High School

Lock-in means access to the campus is tightly controlled. Students can be dropped off, but outdoor activities will not take place.

The Hillsborough County School District will work with Tampa police throughout the day to assess what procedures will need to be in place for dismissal at these schools, as well as any bus routes or bus stops that may need to be changed.

Police are asking residents to review any surveillance cameras they may have and share it with our detectives. “Make sure your video is up and running,” said Dugan.

Anyone who may have any information, should call Tampa police at (813) 231-6130.

Any Seminole Heights resident who owns a gun should also verify its location. If it is missing, it should be reported immediately.

Nebraska Avenue remains closed to traffic in both directions between Hillsborough Avenue and Osborne Avenue. Motorists are urged to find alternate routes.

People living in Seminole Heights have been on edge after the murders of three people. All three victims, 22-year-old Benjamin Mitchell, 32-year-old Monica Hoffa and 20-year-old Anthony Naiboa were found within one mile of each other.

• On Oct. 19, victim Anthony Naiboa, 20, was walking north on 15th Street in the area of Wilder Avenue when he was shot and killed.
• On Oct. 13, victim Monica Hoffa, 32, was found in a vacant lot in the 1000 block of New Orleans Avenue. She was shot and killed.
• On Oct. 9, victim Benjamin Mitchell, 22, was waiting for a bus on North 15th Street and Frierson Avenue. Mitchell was shot and later died of the injuries he sustained. Witnesses described seeing a black man in his early 20’s, wearing a dark hooded jacket, running from the area where this shooting took place.

The reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect now stands at $41,000.

Police have released a video of a “person of interest” who was recorded running from the scene of the first murder. You can watch the video here.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect(s) is also asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477, report anonymously online or send a tip using the P3 Tips Mobile application.
